A Reflective Tuff Spot Play
There is a wide range of items which can be placed in a reflective tuff spot activity to capture babies and young children attention and imagination. Changing the objects you include in the tuff spot regularly can keep babies intrigued. One of our favourite themes is filling it with shiny objects.
We were recently sent a mirror inner lining for out tuff spot to try out with the children from TTS Group. This item has been on my wish list for some time and with new little ones starting I could not wait to try this out so this week we have it set up to explore and play with.
As soon as it arrived I set the tuff spot up for a sensory activity I knew would be a hit with all the children especially Tinnie. You can set up some thing similar using some simple items.
Metal whisk
Scourers
An old CD
Glitter ball
Tins and Trays
Reflective ornament
Different size spoons
Bells
Bracelets
Keys
Watering can
Measuring cups
Foil blanket
Pans
Our babies love the ranges of noises that can be made from these objects and get stuck in quickly banging and crashing them together. If your little ones love sorting you could also add a few pom pom to creature some more fun and introducing sorting and counting.
The liner which we were sent from TTS Group works well with this range of toys I had set out reflecting them and the actions the children made. The mat would also work well with discovery bottles or shaving foam.
Tinnie loved pretending to bake with the masher and spoons he then scooped up his mixture and placed it in the cupcake tin.
The children enjoyed this activity and we kept it out for a few days and they enjoyed using it in many ways. If you’d like to find out more about the Tuff spot mirror mat please look here. For £11.99 this product is a addition to your baby room or sensory play resources.
