Tulip Potato Printing

We're now settled into our new home. The children have coped really well with the change and I'm so happy its not affected their routine in any way. We worked really hard to make sure we were unpacked and ready for when my mindies turned up on Monday morning and by Monday night every box was empty.

One of the nicest things that my children have been able to benefit from is having an outdoor space which is accessible to them all day. There is a lot of work needed in the garden to get it to how we would like it to be, but I'll save that for another post.

The children have started to notice the little changes happening, flowers and shots have began appearing. So we are making these flowers a focus of our this week in our play as the children are so interested.

First of all I used a knife to draw the out line for the tulips. Then I carved around the shape.

The childrens were given a selection of colours to choose from and allowed the paint freely with the shapes as they wished.

The little ones loved the way the paint and potato would stick to the paper and watching the colours mix together ( another lovely learning experience).
